Art and Wine Miami was created by professional artist Raquel Torrent to inspire individual creativity, while enjoying wine and fun with friends. Art and Wine Miami features an original piece of art created by the teacher Raquel Torrent. Through her instruction, and your personal talent each participant in the event leaves with a “masterpiece” that is a unique expression of themselves.

A note from the artist:

I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and since I was very young I enjoyed drawing and painting. I have always created art for the pleasure of doing so because it is my passion. During my school years I had the honor of receiving different art awards. Later in College, I studied Advertising which helped me learn more about art in various ways and completed many art workshops. My art studies, experiences, and  teaching degree have provided me with the skills to instruct art to both children and adults.

I consider myself a figurative and expressionist artist, yet I also enjoy the abstract. I admire and enjoy watching masterpieces by Degas, Modigliani, Guaguin, Van Gogh, Monet and Utrillo; the intricate details of Gustav Klimt’s paintings, the figures of Sally Dray and the infinite talent of Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Picasso and Dali. All these great artists as well as those that aren’t as famous are lucky to have the talent God gave them to express themselves so beautifully.

I feel very blessed to finally share my art with others again and to encourage others to tap into their creative side and paint as well – that is what Art and Wine Miami is about!  I started Art and Wine Miami to teach people how to paint, and have a great time while doing so. We offer a relaxed setting where guests feel comfortable expressing their inner artist. It’s amazing the concentration and inspiration that the Art and Wine Miami guest’s find while they are painting as well as having fun. My inspiration to start this great event is of course my passion for art, my love of teaching, as well as meeting and interacting with different people.
